Chateau St. Jean Signature Red Blend 2013
This wine showcases the sophistication of the five varietals in an approachable California style. Sensuous, deep purple color. Inviting aromas of blackberry and spice are followed with flavors of juicy fruit, sweet oak spice, and notes of mocha. This well-structured, blended wine has fine, smooth tannins and a pleasing, lingering finish making it the perfect house wine for every occasion.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Malbec blend. Chateau St. Jean, built in 1973 on a family's dream to create a world-class winery, makes its home in the heart of Sonoma—a region of dramatic diversity perfect for growing a wide variety of exceptional grapes. Ever since, they have been passionate about crafting balanced, elegant wines. The winemaking estate is located at the foot of Sugarloaf Ridge in the Sonoma Valley near Kenwood, California. In keeping with the chateau's architecture and sense of place, the wine-tasting and retail room is housed in an elegant garden structure surrounded on three sides by terraces and outdoor garden spaces. The statue of St. Jean, the winery's namesake, stands in the main courtyard garden by the decorative fountain. There is also a Visitor Center and gardens that has been open to the public since the summer of 2000.
