Chateau Le Grand Verdus Bordeaux Blanc 2014
Blend | France
Fresh and bright, with an enticing aromatic intensity. It is seductive, with delightful fruity notes hints of white flowers and peaches. The palate is pure, fresh, and possesses a long mineral intensity. Over 2 to 3 years, for aperitif, to accompany summer salads, or more classical seafood, shellfish, and goat cheese.
70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon. Chateau Le Grand Verdus has some of the highest vineyards in Bordeaux. Their grapes receive the full benefit of the Atlantic breezes, allowing the chateau to grow them with minimal use of chemicals. The vines are planted at high density to naturally limit yield. This creates wines with intense aromas of passion fruit, citrus, and white flowers. It has fresh flavors and a long mineral finish.
