Chateau D'oupia Minervois 2015
This delicious little red blend from the far South is a classic example of the elegant, mineral-driven reds that Languedoc-Roussillon is capable. This Carignan blend is driven by fresh blackberries, bits of leather, spice and pure mineral stone. Just suave.
The Château d'Oupia, an imposing 12th century building, was owned by the Lords of Oupia during the Middle Ages. Over the centuries, the Castle passed from hand to hand and its structure is constantly changed. Thus, from the ancestral castle, there remains today only part of the enclosure and a tower overlooking the valley. During this period, the family of Sainte Colombe will keep the property for a long time, it is she who will transmit to the Castle the coat of arms of its current coat of arms.
