Chateau Bazin 2011
Blend | France
The Bazin terroir is located where the Entre-deux-Mers dies away against the Agenais hills. It is coated with flinty pebbles in rich clay. Best served at 65 degrees F with red meat.
60% Merlot, 20% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Abouriou. Produced and bottled by Cave du Marmandais. Chateau Bazin is regarded as the flagship of Cave du Marmandais. The property consists of about 22 acres of vineyards dominated by a beautiful chartreuse dating back to the eighteenth-century, in the neoclassical style and of an English park with remarkable trees. The Marmande tradition required that each of the properties and their town locality carry the name of their proprietor—this is how this property became Chateau Bazin.
