This is Chartreuse 1605 - Liqueur des Pères Chartreux, the most authentic recreation of the original 1605 manuscript recipe. Crafted by Les Moines Chartreux from a secret blend of 130 alpine plants and herbs, this special cuvée is bottled at 55.5% ABV for greater intensity and richness than classic Green Chartreuse.

It pours a deep natural amber-green and opens with a powerful bouquet of anise, bitter orange peel, ginger, and mountain honey with a touch of black pepper.

On the palate it is full-bodied, warm and complex, balancing sweet herbal depth with spicy, balsamic notes and an exceptionally long, aromatic finish.
