The origin of Lot C-91 began in the fall of 1969 when Joe Heitz created this one-off cuvée, which was very normal in those days, as a more premium version of his already iconic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon bottling. Joe envisioned Lot C-91 as a greater step up in quality from the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with a higher quality of fruit sourcing, coming exclusively from the sought-after single vineyards of Heitz Cellar.
The ten stunningly beautiful photographs from the historic session became known as the "Red Velvet" series, each one a portrait of Marilyn Monroe posing on a red velvet drape.

This wine gives aromas of ripe red fruit, blackberry pie, dried cranberries with hints of brown sugar and warm baking spices. Powdery tannins lend structure to this wine, while maintaining elegance and ending in a long lingering finish.
Deep violet in color, intense, and with a great aromatic complexity of red fruits together with floral notes of violets and roses. On the palate, it is a tasty wine with a soft spell and a superb freshness, along with the elegance and power so characteristic of Puente Alto. The inaugural release of Ben Glaetzer’s Godolphin Shiraz Cabernet, the 2004 vintage, received rave reviews from the world’s wine press with US critic Robert Parker describing it as “the stuff of legends….. the apogee of Ben Glaetzer’s winemaking talents”, scoring it 96-98 points. UK wine writer Mathew Dukes was equally impressed writing “This is the earth shatteringly brilliant younger brother to Amon-Ra, and it's a hedonistic Shiraz/Cabernet blend. Where Amon-Ra is, admittedly, totally over the top, Godolphin is near perfection.”
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch might be the best Napa Valley Cabernet out there under $100. Based on 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, it offers a full-bodied, round, sexy style that can be difficult to find in a vintage like 2017.
Produced in the heart of the Bordeaux region, La Mouliniere Red offers an intense nose o red beries. Dry, juicy and fruity on the palate, his wine will pair beautifully with cold cuts, grilled meats, cheese or pizza.
The 2019 Coeur de Vigne represents a vibrant rendition of a classic Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. Made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the nose offers rich aromas of blackberry and blueberry that meld with hints of graphite, lavender and thyme.
The 19th century château overlooks 36 hectares of vines growing on a soil consisting of clay and limestone rock. This round, fruity wine has been carefully aged to reflect its intrinsic elegance, and is faithful to the heritage of Baron Edmond de Rothschild.
Hand-picked in the cool of the night, this fruit is brought to the winery and carefully cluster sorted, de-stemmed (but not crushed) and gently pumped to fermenters where it undergoes our proprietary extended cold soak for maximum aqueous color and flavor extraction. Following the extended cold soak, native fermentation commences, not over 80 degrees and our normal gentle pump-over protocols take place. Barrel aged in 100% French Oak barrels for 18 months gives wonderful aromas and nuanced tannin structure.
