The Dalmore King Alexander III showcases cask curation at its finest; as it is the world’s first single malt whisky with a six cask finish.
Edition 14.3 of Bruichladdich’s Octomore series was made with 100% Concerto Barley from Octomore farm on Islay and matured for five years in first-fill ex-American whiskey casks and second-fill wine casks. This super heavily-peated style from Octomore has given the whisky rich aromas of burnt biscuit, plump apricots and butterscotch on the nose which leads to an earthy smokiness on the palate with notes of peat stacks, honeysuckle and toasted barley.
Glowing amber in color with heather-honey sweetness and peaty smokiness on the nose. The expression that started it all for Highland Park. First introduced in 1979, the 12 year old is at the very heart of our core range and demonstrates rich, well balanced malty tones, with the subtle floral smoke which makes Highland Park such a distinctive single malt whisky.
Aberfeldy 15-Year-Old Limited Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky Finished in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Casks
The Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks from the Napa Valley bestow berries and spice, imparting a refined blush on Aberfeldy’s honeyed malt in this latest release from the Red Wine Cask Collection.
Exhaling honey, citrus and spicy cloves. Sherried and full like fruitcake, then dabs of rich dark chocolate and a soothing, mouth-coating finish.
Very limited expression. The wine’s influence adds an air of opulence and a deepening of intriguing red berry aromas. Offers green apple and honeyed, floral notes. A velvety texture and softening spices leave a mellow dram to contemplate over.
From David C Stewart MBE, The Balvenie Malt Master: “This 1973 could easily have been used for PortWood when it was launched but luckily it was from one of our ‘plentiful years’. It has matured into a stunning whisky.”
The fourth volume in Laphroaig's Ian Hunter Story series is a 1987-vintage single malt that was matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and finished in first-fill European oak ex-oloroso sherry casks, before being bottled at 34-years-old. Aromas of dried fruit, soft smoke, tobacco leaves, eucalyptus, heather honey, black pepper and cinder toffee fill the nose, complemented by notes of barbecued pork, sweet honey, peach, orange blossom, iodine, earthy peat and ashy wood smoke throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.
Malt and citrus fruits on a slight medicinal background, mingled with floral hints and a touch of smoke. Complex with honey hints and acid touches, liquorice hints.
This 2023-release continues the collaboration between Bowmore’s master blender Ron Welsh and Aston Martin’s chief creative officer, Marek Reichman. Matured in a combination of American oak and ex-oloroso sherry casks for 22 years, this whisky offers aromas of heather, honey, cherry, lychee, tobacco leaves and aniseed on the nose.
