Fashions change, and formulae suit. Blended whiskies of the 1970s, ’80s, and ‘90s are very different from today’s versions, even when the brand name remains the same. The Extinct Blends Quartet as it unfolds will reimagine four of our favorite blended Scotches from yesteryear, using some of our rarest and most idiosyncratic stocks of whisky.
The 2021 is the largest and most complex blend we've ever made with dozens of components from vineyards across the realm of Napa Valley. This vintage includes new vineyard sources from Calistoga, Rutherford and Oak Knoll AVA, allowing us to broaden our painter’s palette.
"Virgen" defines our USDA-certified, no-sulfites-added, vegan, organic wines, the purest expression of our pristine, high-desert Tupungato Valley terroir in Argentina's Mendoza region. Here, sandy/gravel soils, year-round sunshine and 60°F/15°C day-to-night temperature shifts combine for exceptional conditions in which to grow healthy, high-quality organic grapes. The result: super-flavorful, fresh-tasting, naturally elegant wines.

Not only did she love poetry, she also loved cooking, science, and wine.
