Herzog Variations Oak is a special wine series that journeys beyond the variations of California wine country, and into the Battle of the Barrels. We start with North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon separated into two different types of oak barrels and see which one will come out on top.
The 2022 Pessimist is inky and dark aubergine in color. A powerhouse vintage with a plethora fruit showcasing blueberry, boysenberry, plum and strawberry. Smoky notes of truffle and roasted coffee are accompanied by accents of floral consisting of lavender and lilac, highlighted by underlying nuances of buttered toast, vanilla, and a breath of cool wintergreen.
This Grape is a 100% Merlot. Its scent of Red Berries (Strawberry, Rasberry) and Cherries. Its taste is fine, light semi sweet wild red berries with soft tannins.
Fresh and fruity, this medium-bodied wine also adds touches of toasted oak and butter on the palate for more depth and interest.
Beautiful pale yellow in color, with shiny green undertones. The bouquet offers aromas of white-flesh fruit, citrus fruit and spring flowers, fresh with an attractive aromatic intensity.
The Netofa Tel Qasser Red is a Rhone blend aged for 10 months in French oak barrels. Deep purple in color, fresh blackberries and raspberries on the nose followed by dried violets, lavender as well as hints of grilled meat and black pepper.
