The ripest fruit was selected from the Lodi, Delta, and Clarksburg areas for their Chardonnay wine and they're proud to offer it as the perfect complement to their red wines. The 2021 Dark Horse Chardonnay underwent alcoholic fermentation with hand-selected yeast and then a secondary malolactic fermentation to create a round, full mouthfeel. It showcases rich flavors of baked apple and pear, layered with toasted oak, notes of caramel, and brown spice with a lingering, smooth finish.
Succulent fruit flavors and crisp freshness distinguish our esteemed Tuscan wine. Exclusive use of free-run juice to avoid color extraction from the skins. This north-facing limestone site is cool and late ripening. In a warm year like 2019 its quality soars. There is such a fine acidity and outstanding length. I was really blown away by this, and can’t wait to see how the fruit and acidity entwine further with some bottle age. Nervous and tense, this warrants attention.
The frozen Vidal grapes were harvested in late December 2017 when temperatures fell between -10ºC and -13ºC. After settling the juice in stainless steel tanks, cool fermentation was completed in late-February when the wine was placed outdoors to stop fermentation and to complete natural cold stabilization. The wine was stored in solely stainless steel for a period of 8 months before being filtered and then bottled.
Following the tradition of the Tokaj wine region, the partially botrytized grapes and picked in early November. Following an extended maceration period and fermentation in stainless steel, this Szamorodni ages in barrels deep in the cellar before being bottled. While it may be enjoyed as an aperitif, it also has the ability to age well.
A white wine that is both light and crisp, Carlo Rossi? Chablis also offers a nice, clean finish. Fragrant flavors of ripe pear add depth and give this wine a lasting appeal.
