The Exceptional Cask series demonstrates how Macleod patiently lays the foundations of the entire single malts range, by meticulously nosing and assessing every sample within John Dewar's & Sons extensive cask inventory to monitor maturation and flavor development.
Rich and Creamy, there are notes of roasted nuts, cereals and dried fruits. Sweet, soft and exceptionally well rounded. Mouthwarming with hints of soft fruits, leather and toffee. Long with a lingering sweetness which fills the mouth.
Look for a burnished gold hue and fresh apple aroma. The rounded palate beautifully mixes cinnamon spice, mild smoke and an herbaceous roots-and-bark complexity that suggests sarsaparilla.

Edition 14.3 of Bruichladdich’s Octomore series was made with 100% Concerto Barley from Octomore farm on Islay and matured for five years in first-fill ex-American whiskey casks and second-fill wine casks. This super heavily-peated style from Octomore has given the whisky rich aromas of burnt biscuit, plump apricots and butterscotch on the nose which leads to an earthy smokiness on the palate with notes of peat stacks, honeysuckle and toasted barley.
