Very sweet with a smooth, creamy texture, this is a Speyside whisky with chocolate and custard notes early on that indicate the dessert nature of this tipple, with slight zesty, tropical fruity notes showing that it also has a vibrant side. There are lemon notes throughout this dram, as well as vanilla sponge and marzipan that demonstrate the softer side of this whisky.
Tamnavulin, from Tomnavoulin, Ballindalloch, Banffshire, is one of the many distilleries built in the boom period of the 1960s to keep up with the public interest. Sweet and zesty with lots of fruity notes – such as pineapple, grapefruit and banana – through most of the dram but the finish is more mellow and provides a calming, smooth end to the experience.

A 2006 Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition single malt that was finished in an oloroso sherry cask and bottled in 2021. Aromas of buttery biscuits, orange, honey and apricot fill the nose, complemented by notes of sweet malt, caramel, figs, red apples and soft hints of peat smoke throughout the palate.
