René Rostaing has been producing high-quality Syrah and Viognier in the Northern Rhone for over 25 years. The property is comprised of 14 lieux-dits, scattered over 20+ hectares, with vines ranging in age from 60-100 years.
A vibrant, expressive rosé that combines zestful aromas with an intense freshness allowing the fruit to fully embody the wine. The grapes are harvested by hand. De-stemming and crushing are followed by cooling and inert gas injection. Free-run juices are selected. Alcoholic fermentation at 14°C.
Very deep purple ruby. Very intense and complex. It is difficult to identify which is more dominant of the mineral characters, the fruity notes or the floral notes. Very bold, mineral with a surprising freshness with fine and crisp tannins - apricot notes of Viognier.
Showcases a coral pink color revealing white cherry and strawberry shortcake on the nose. The wine is crisp and bright on the palate with vibrant bubbles that are complimented with notes of raspberry, strawberry and subtle minerality. The Psagot Rose is a blend of red grape varietals. The grapes are harvested from vineyards located in the Northern Jerusalem Mountains at a height of 700 meters. The wine is a nice looking, very salmon colored, almost fading to a touch of brick color. The aromas are very calm with some hints of grapefruit, lemon zest.
Eric Texier single-handedly rescued Brezeme, an obscure sub-region of the Northern Rhone where heritage Syrah is grown. This wine is his staple: 100% Syrah produced from middle-aged, south-facing vines. It's a great introduction to Texier's wines, but also just a great value in Northern Rhone loveliness.
