It has delicate aromas of apples, this expression showcases a beautiful harmony of finesse and sweetness brought by apple brandy casks and Yoichi single malt's original characteristics such as rich malt flavours, gentle peaty notes and smokiness.
The first release of Big Moustache produced 580 cases from 14 hand selected barrels. The mash build is 80% corn, 10% rye and 10% malted barley. A long fermentation of 3 days makes our whiskey unique. The freshly distilled, unaged whiskey is filtered over sugar maple charcoal before going into new American oak barrels.

Part of the Yamazaki family, Japan’s quintessential whisky, it is made in Japan’s first and oldest malt distillery which was founded in 1923.
Tomoe Gozen, the most feared female samurai in Japanese history, was just as as ruthless as she was beautiful. Legend says that she led as many as 1,000 soldiers on the battlefield, being a top military leader in the 13th century. Her weapon of choice was a long curved blade called a naginata, and a short dagger called a kaiken. Tomoe translates to “comma”, and is a comma-like swirl shape on Japanese family crests, a pattern that she wore on her samurai shoulder pads. Gozen is an ancient title given to women of honor.
