Taken from the very last 1984 casks from Talisker, set aside and guarded for decades for their promising potential. At the time few knew of Talisker’s tempestuous maritime character, but there was something special about these 1984 casks that made the distiller set them aside.
To the nose, aromatic and fresh. Hay, fruit, gentle wood influence with light vanilla and spice. On the palate, beautifully balanced with tart fruits, freshly cut hay and vanilla sweetness. Long and gentle finish as it fades out on barley malt and fruit.
Rare and limited release, this single malt scotch whisky has lived longer than the distillery from which it came. Aromas of fruit and crisp red apple give way to gentle vanilla creaminess and distant orange peel. A hint of wood spices and sweetness finish.
Freshly baked fruitcake revealing rich malty aromas, sweet sherry and a subtle spiced oakiness on the addition of water. Sherry wood finish.
