Peña Aladas, or “winged stones” refers to a group of small, rocky vineyard plots well over 100 year old in age and surrounded by pine forests.
We use only the finest Blue Weber agave, grown in rich volcanic soil of Jalisco and tended to by skilled agave farmers. Our tequila undergoes a unique 9 month aging process, that starts with the barrel staves being coated with the sweetness of cooked agave that has been caramelized into the wood of our "11 Year-Vintage" barrels.
The wine is aged in oak barrels for 15 months. It has a nice bright straw gold color. The nose is with great finesse with notes of citrus, flowers (acacia), minerality and it reveals a slight touch of honey, which will increase with age.
