The 2021 Ried Loibenberg Loibner Riesling Smaragd is deep intense and ripe on the nose but also pure and fresh with notes of crushed stones and tropical yellow stone fruits. Dense and intense on the substantial palate this is a full-bodied concentrated and sustainably structured Loibenberg with great intensity grip and mineral tension. The finish is very long intense and quite powerful and still dominated by its ripe fruit.
Bright pale yellow robe with golden reflections. The nose is complex, combining flowers (broom), grapefruit with mineral aromas (flint). The attack is lively and fresh with confirmation of exotic fruits. Good aromatic persistence.
Transparent yellow. A delightfully complex nose of lime and grapefruit blended with herbs such as boxwood. Citrus and herb notes reappear on the palate. A fresh, bright, and pleasing wine with nicely balanced acidity and good persistence.
The Argaman variety, which was developed at the Volcani Institute in Israel, produces wines with deep purple color, and pronounced fresh fruit aroma. The Argaman is a strong growing, vigorous variety. It has been used mainly to improve the color of inexpensive table wines.
