This north-facing limestone site is cool and late ripening. In a warm year like 2019 its quality soars. There is such a fine acidity and outstanding length. I was really blown away by this, and can’t wait to see how the fruit and acidity entwine further with some bottle age. Nervous and tense, this warrants attention.

A gorgeous vintage. A liquorice bomb, nevertheless. Some rose and candied characteristics. Unsurprisingly grippy tannins. Good with oily tomato pesto and ravioli. After giving it some time to breath there's bold cassis and prunes to complement the slightly more toned-down liquorice.
The Cantinua Giuliano A Mano Cabernet Sauvignon is a limited Super Tuscan production made with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is deep garnet in color, with a complex nose, offering notes of cherries, raspberries, with undertones of green notes, wet earth and some toasted oak.
