There are lemon notes throughout this dram, as well as vanilla sponge and marzipan that demonstrate the softer side of this whisky.
Tamnavulin, from Tomnavoulin, Ballindalloch, Banffshire, is one of the many distilleries built in the boom period of the 1960s to keep up with the public interest. Sweet and zesty with lots of fruity notes – such as pineapple, grapefruit and banana – through most of the dram but the finish is more mellow and provides a calming, smooth end to the experience.
