This dessert wine from Monsanto is impressive. It is burnt orange colored and opens with a sweet rum cake like bouquet. It is full bodied, slightly sweet, and viscous. The flavor profile is a tasty fig, brown sugar and mild rum blend. I also detected hints of apricot, milk chocolate, and oak that added to its complexity. The finish remains sweet and displays controlled heat for this style of wine. This dessert wine would be a perfect match for pecan pie and a good way to finish off an evening.
Golden yellow, with coppery highlights. Peach, apricot, pineapple and tropical dried fruit aromas. Consistency on the palate, softness and elegance nicely structured by the oak barrels. Wine with great balance, favorable acidity and a well-harmonized residual sugar. Long in the mouth.
Dark, rich black cherry flavors with an elegant fruit puree similar to the blueberry. Elegant and true black cherry taste while not tasting like "cough syrup" that are similar to other black cherry malt/spirit brands.
Opulent and dripping with unctuous layers of viscose flavour intensity, this is a heartbreakingly beautiful expression. Creamy toffee and rich nutty almond tones swirl through boundless streams of raisin and dried fruit, sweeping under gorgeous streaks of caramel and plump nectarine. Great acidity tempers the luxuriously sweet essence perfectly.
