Contraluz is a 100% Artisanal Mezcal made from Espadin Agave. It is the product of maturation and small-batch filtration process new to the world of Mezcal. The result is a crystal-clear liquid with an elegant blend of aromas and flavors that are refined yet full of Mezcal's signature character.
The Agaves used to make 400 CONEJOS can take between 8 & 15 years to reach optimum maturity. The Pinas are slow cooked for 3-5 days, milled by stone, then kept in a wood tub as they begin the fermentation process.

Espadin Agaves are hand harvested on the steep slopes of the Oaxacan Sierra. Roasted by oak-fired rocks and ferfented in wooden vats before being double distilled in copper stills. Smooth and smoky with notes of spice on the finish. Enjoy neat or in specialty cocktails.
This new expression is made from 100% Agave Papalote, also known as Agave cupreata, and specific to the Guerrero region. The plant grows wild in the mountain range of Guerrero, which is on the coast and has a tropical climate.
