Originating in the Jura region of France, the Grivot family settled in Vosne-Romanée right before the French Revolution. In 1919, Gaston Grivot sold his vines in less prominent areas to be able to buy a large plot in the grand cru Clos de Vougeot. He and his son, Jean, were some of the first students to graduate from Dijon University under the oenology program, and soon after they made their last name famous in the wine world.
Domaine Alain Burguet is a renowned winery located in the Burgundy region of France, known for producing exceptional Pinot Noir wines. One of their most celebrated creations is the Chambertin Clos de Beze 2009, a premier cru red wine that embodies the essence of Burgundian winemaking.
Tasting Notes: A light but fragrant bouquet of herbals flavors, grapefruit, and citrus. “Refreshing” and “Crisp” were words that came to mind when the wine hit the palate. It finishes with more lemon-citrus and mineral hints.
