An elegant red blend produced in Saint-Emilion, Les Roches De Yon enjoys subtle hints of dark chocolate and seasoned berry. Comprised of 83% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, this accessible wine carries a refined body and a lush aromatic character.
Bright, juicy and with good freshness, this pushes a mix of yellow apple, pineapple, and white peach to the fore, backed by a long elderflower honey note that holds the finish prettily.
Very beautiful color, steady and deep. A first intense nose of soaked red berries reveals then some spicy notes of clove. The attack is very round. The mouth is ample, supported by very ripe tannins.
The 2022 Santenay 1er Cru Le Beaurepaire is gourmand and enveloping, bursting with aromas of peach, white flowers, buttery pastry, toasted almonds and freshly baked bread.
The Château les Grandes Murailles Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2016 is a refined expression of Bordeaux's Right Bank. This Grand Cru Classé wine showcases velvety tannins, rich aromas of dark fruits, and subtle notes of spice and oak, offering a balanced and elegant palate.
Plump and friendly, with tangerine, peach and nectarine notes forming the core. The rounded finish has a flattering hint, along with a thread of quinine that keeps this honest.
Clos de la Vieille Eglise, the tiny property estate of Jean-Louis and Benoît Trocard, has an opulent bouquet with layers of ripe cassis and blueberry fruit, just showing a little more alcohol than its Pomerol peers. The palate is ripe and generous on the entry. I was expecting it to spill over into something overdone... but no. It is actually very elegant and harmonious with great depth and very fine persistence.
Planted in the grand cru vineyard Brand, the vines are north facing, ideal for Pinot Noir in this climate, as the wine is guaranteed to be fresh even in hot vintages. Compared to his Pinot Noir "S," also grown on granite, this cuvée is a little denser, very smooth, silky, and spicy, a wine obviously influenced by his love for Burgundy.
Pale lemon, with a beautifully perfumed nose, ripe but stopping short of honeysuckle. The minerals come up from behind, there is an altogether thicker texture on the palate, confit lemons, volume and length.
A superb aromatic freshness, with aromas of red and black berries and a beautiful minerality. The palate is deep, fleshy and offers a beautiful energy. The finish is reminiscent of chalk and fruits.
From his vines planted in limestone (Boland and Heimbourg crus of Turckheim), Boxler’s Réserve bottling always has great acidity and an ethereal quality that makes it one of the most noble bottlings of this grape in the world.
This wine is very expressive with aromas of flowers and honey. The palate is fresh with great acidity, displaying clean tropical fruit flavors before the round, satisfying finish. Bottled after 6 months aging on lees in French oak barrels.
Color: Ruby red.
