Elegant Sauvignon blanc from the Loire Valley. Notes of pear and citrus. This Pouilly Fumé shows pale yellow with a pronounced bouquet of white currants. It is dry, lively and fresh with well-defined fruit. Grown on the opposite bank from Sancerre, this wine is a little more complex and flowery than Sancerre.
Smooth, with a floral perfume, red cherries and berries, and some toasty sweet spice. Pleasingly savoury too, with some dusty layers of wet leaves, meat, and mushroom.
Chateau Fourcas Dupre is located in the Listrac commune of Bordeaux, which is well-known as an area rich in “hidden gems” that rival higher-priced bottles from the legendary banks of the Gironde estuary.
The color is a beautiful ruby red with violet highlights. Expressive on the nose, with jammy red fruits and soft spices. Particularly silky on the mouth, with very fine grain tannins. This wine also shows a very nice freshness.
Bruno vinifies 19 cuvees separately in old family winery in the center of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet. His style shows beautiful balance, both aromatically and texturally, while showcasing the delicate minerality and nuanced complexity of each vineyard.
Climat is an exceptional grape selection unique to each vintage, to discover to secrets of our terroirs and keep a memory of its unique characteristics. Grand Cru “rich and structured” with a dark and glistening robe. Concentrated nose with fragrances of dark fruits, spices, undergrowth and distinguished oak notes. Mouth filling, with persistent tannins melted into the fruits. Harmonious finale, aromatic and intense.
Since joining the family operation, the young Arnaud and David have shown remarkable ambition and precision in their work ethic: they have increased the family holdings to twenty-one hectares, adding single-vineyard cuvees while constantly striving for more complexity and layered texture in the mineral-driven beauties they produce.
