The 2020 Ménage à Trois White is a trip to the islands without the worry of sunburn or bugs. It’s undeniably fruity and unabashedly easy. It’s meant to be quaffed, not analyzed. The White blend brings together citrus and tropical fruit flavors with crisp acidity. With food or without, alone or with two companions, this is one of the most exhilarating experiences imaginable.
In the glass, this wine appears inky-black with a velvety core. On the nose, however, you are treated to the lightness of fresh violets, crushed blueberries, and cocoa.
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Price is powerful and dense in the glass. A touch of reduction attenuates the aromatics, but the Price is always a wine more of texture than anything else, and it is easy to see all of that richness. Beams of tannin add to the wine's energetic feel. It will be interesting to watch how the 2017 develops as it finishes its aging in barrel.
Black Box Brilliant Collection Chardonnay has hints of crisp apple and a touch of oak to accentuate a smooth finish. Enjoy the same great flavor profile of Chardonnay for only 80 calories per serving!
The Clos Electrique Rouge from 2021 is an astounding wine with notes of leather, porcini mushrooms, forest floor and a dose of plums bringing in the finish. Its perfect silky mouth and a nice round finish cry for a café 90’s Duck l’orange, chanterelles sautéed with butter and sherry, a Ribeye cooked to perfection or perhaps even cardboard. I mean really, this wine makes anything taste better.
Sometimes a glass is filled with more than just wine. Our summer in a bottle wines evoke the sea air, hamptons sunsets and summertime adventures. Enjoy a glass and savor the experience.
Gallo Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied, smooth and has a hint of oak. It's a nicely balanced red wine with rich blackberry and black currant notes. The Gallo family has over 80 years of family ownership and wine making experience.
Crafted in 6 ton fermentors, the cap management was primarily pump and pour overs combined with a few rack and returns. Spontaneously fermented by indigenous yeast, each fermentor reached temperatures between 87-90 degrees F. About 25% whole cluster and 20% extended maceration, the wine yields approachable and classic Willamette characteristics with structured, smooth tannins.
Rich aromas of ripe black cherry, Mission fig, and dark chocolate mingle with a spice box of clove and nutmeg. The palate is filled with flavors of juicy blackberry and boysenberry that are enveloped in silky tannins, showing complexity beyond its years. Enticing flavors of fresh vanilla bean and hazelnut carry through a velvety richness that lingers on the finish. Enjoy now after decanting for 45 minutes or cellar through 2038.
