It was also an exceptional year for Mataro in a generally very strong year at the site, and the variety makes up over 30% of the blend.

The 2018 Reliquus Cabernet Sauvignon is generous and fleshy, with a delicious nose of red cherry, black plum, leather, roasted red pepper, pot pourri, and dried violets.
The St. Huberts The Stag Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon shows a deep ruby, garnet, crimson color. Perfumed aromas on the nose offer inviting bramble berry notes of wild raspberry, dark cherry, and red currant, alongside baking spice notes of allspice, cedar, tobacco leaf and clove.
Medium red, a bit darker than the Coteaux Nobles. Less fruity and spicy on the nose today, with the strawberry and cherry aromas currently dominated by mocha, graphite and leather.
Candied Bing cherry and fresh hibiscus aromas make this an immediately likable bottling by Jim Nantz and his team, while the star anise, gingerbread and sweet herb aromas add complexity.
