This is the fifth vintage to come exclusively from the Martinelli Charles Ranch, two miles in from the Pacific at 1,115 ft elevation. This vineyard has a typically cool climate, low vigor soil, and a vine selection that generates small berries, small clusters and inherently low yields.

This hands-off method produces a unique, complex style of Chardonnay with ripe stone fruit, bright acidity and a backbone of minerality.

Grapes for this Chardonnay come from three of our Sonoma Coast Vineyards located to the East of Petaluma - Catapult, Diamond Pile and Tolay Vista. This region is called “The Petaluma Gap”, defined as a corridor of cool air that comes from the Pacific Ocean and flows toward the east through the gap in the Sonoma Mountain range.
