The Benedict pinot is named in honor of Edward Ronan “Ned” Benedict and pays homage to his love of burgundy. The wine showcases the complexity this region produces with balance, purity and persistent flavors of dark red fruits and earthy undertones of beetroot and wet earth. The 2019 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has notes of red cherry, raspberry, blackberry, iris, vanilla and clove. The 2015 Firebelle is their Merlot-dominated cuvée. Coming from the sandy soils called Bale Loam it’s a blend of 71% Merlot 21% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Petit Verdot. This is a more tightly knit wine with loads of lack fruits mocha and coffee bean some licorice and tar.
