A silky scarlet red with luminous highlights, this wine opens with a lean earthiness—the scent of rustic wood mixes with sweet spice, a whiff of cigar box, dusty pavement and old leather, infused with garden ripe strawberries and cherries.
Over the years, we have been fortunate to work with many great vineyards that span a diverse and varied view into a region that many would call the heartland of California Pinot Noir. Our goal is to create a wine that shows the essence of this iconic appellation.
A well-balanced, richly flavored, and deliciously complex bottled wine. This deep ruby red California wine opens to reveal lifted aromas of dark, jammy fruit and sweet vanilla with a hint of expressive dark roast mocha and juicy blackberry flavors.
Apothic Merlot reveals depths of black cherry, boysenberry and wild blueberries with subtle hints of vanilla and coconut. To add dimension to the wine, we added a touch of a unique grape called Teroldego, which marries well with the Merlot to create plush tannins and a long, lasting finish.

This wine exhibits ripe fruity flavors of pear, crisp green apple, vanilla and toasty caramel. A medium-bodied wine, approximately 70% is barrel-fermented to integrate fruit and oak flavors. Partial malolactic fermentation adds a rich texture and buttery component.
The Avalon California Cabernet shows bright vibrant aromas of blueberry jam, strawberry tart, and boysenberries with hints of vanilla and toasted oak. A dash of Zinfandel give this wine a hint of spice that is followed by rich black cherries, red raspberries, and juicy ripe plums on the long smooth finish.
There’s a mini-trend of Burgundian masters making wine in Oregon. Jean-Nicolas Meo and his old friend, Jay Boberg, is a super-exciting example of just why this trend is such a good thing.
The 2013 Proprietary Red Sloan is from a similar 13 sections of land of domain vineyard. Run of the mill of the vintage, it is awesome, inky purple and gigantic, with staggeringly ready foods grown from the ground energy and outline that is stunning – given the lavishness and hugeness of this wine is a genuine long haul prospect.
