Number six in the seven-strong Kylebeg Wood series was aged in fresh hogsheads coopered from a single Irish oak tree. Bottle number four of seven in the Midleton Kylebeg Wood series. This rich and subtly chocolatey pot still whiskey was finished in casks cut from a single native Irish oak – sourced from a managed forest in Country Laois. After felling, this venerable tree was shipped to Spain where it was cut and left to dry in the warm climate of Jerez. After fifteen months, the staves were coopered into hogsheads and sent back to Ireland to be filled with this unique spirit.
Made from the traditional Evan Williams Bourbon recipe. Buttery to the nose with hints of oak, vanilla and sweet corn. Rich and smooth, with a semi sweet entry of honey and oak, leading to an off dry finish.
Rare and limited release, this single malt scotch whisky has lived longer than the distillery from which it came. Aromas of fruit and crisp red apple give way to gentle vanilla creaminess and distant orange peel. A hint of wood spices and sweetness finish.
This whiskey is distilled from malted grain and mash corn, on Honshu Island, before resting in oak barrels. It has floral aromas with caramel and spice notes, as well as a palate consisting of generous oak and cooked fruit. It finishes with a hint of smokiness.
Strong and full of flavor, this bold bourbon boasts an incredible deep and smoky taste, superbly balanced with sweet vanilla and notes of caramel. A distinctively rich flavor comes from bottling at its original 125 barrel entry proof.
