In 1810, Madame Clicquot invented the first ever vintage champagne. Since then, the house has cultivated its art of ageing. This Vintage Rose 2015 is crafted only from "Premier and Grand Cru" grapes (50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier).
Using a blanco tequila base, Tequila Komos Reposado Rosa ages in former red wine French oak barrels. Once the tequila has gone through a purification process, mellowed, softened and picked up flavors and colors from the red wine barrels - giving it a pink hue - it is stored and tumbled in amphorae.
Nose: Smoke rises with a cloying sweetness. Intense, pungent and aromatic, a distinctive farmyard scent drifts, along with a crunchy aroma, like creosote or tarry rope. A splash of water disturbs the vapours and dark chocolate cream billows, laced with a ribbon of smoked artichoke.
On the nose, pleasant floral notes and a beautiful aromatic complexity punctuated with subtle woody touches. An overall elegance typical of aged Cognacs from Grande Champagne.
