With a beautiful pale gold color and green reflections, this Chablis has a powerful, fresh and floral nose with notes of fresh almond and hazelnut, citrus, and white flowers. The mouth is balanced, minerally, and restrained. The evolution and finish are more subdued, taking on an acid character, with a delicacy highlighted by its great freshness.
This dry white wine is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Judea and Samaria regions of Israel. The grapes were harvested early, and matured for 10 months in French oak barrels, and underwent batonnage (stirring of the lees in a barrel) once a week.
Winemaker, Eli Ben-Zaken, crafts this wine by allocating a portion of premium grape varietals - Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc - destined for the winery's flagship wine, Domaine du Castel Grand Vin. The grapes are picked early to ensure that the resulting wine has enough acidity to offer the crisp and tart nature of a rose that is expected.
Intense purple color. Fresh raspberry and cherry flavors, together with a soft touch of vanilla and spices make for a very charming aroma. Round and soft mouth feel, followed by a medium bodied and yet fleshy sensation. Velvety tannins and long fruity finish.
The Gush Etzion Lone Oak Gewürztraminer is a semi-dry white wine full of complexity and flavor that will delight your senses. Binyamina Reserve Merlot is made from grapes of the blue-blooded Merlot variety with origins in Bordeaux. The grapes were harvested from our vineyards in two adjacent regions: the Upper Galilee, primarily from Kerem Ben Zimra, on a combination of basaltic and terra rossa soil over hard limestone bedrock with efficient aeration of the roots; and the center of the Golan Heights, with its deep, basaltic soil and good drainage.
This Rose is light in color and has a delicate fragrance and sweet taste. It pairs well with fruit, cheese and desserts. It's a splendid and festive wine to complete any meal!
