Made from Listán Negro sourced from the vineyards of Pedro Umpiérrez and Ascensión Robayna. Vines in excess of 100 years old. Planted in deep, black volcanic sands (up to 3m deep) over clay subsoils. Hand harvested, 90% whole cluster, natural yeast fermentation in amphorae and small fermentation bins. 6 months in neutral 500L French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Appellation origin controlled micro-zone. Traditional Georgian wine made from Saperavi grapes cultivated in the strictly regulated micro-zone of Mukuzani, Gurjaani district, Kakheti, Eastern Georgia, the wine shows aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate with vanilla and spice.
Clos de la Roilette spans 9 hectares on one of the best crus of the Beaujolais, Fleurie. Alain Coudert took over from his father in 1987, who had inherited the domain twenty years earlier. Johan Vineyard is an 85-acre, Demeter-certified biodynamic site in the Willamette Valley, south of McMinnville and west of Salem. This site is almost always our last Pinot pick of harvest. Although it's a relatively low-elevation site, due to its proximity to the coast and the winds that howl through the Van Duzer Corridor every summer afternoon, the fruit here tends to ripen later than in our other vineyards.
Produced from Kisi grapes grown in our estate owned vineyards in village Tsinadali of Kakhet region. Fermentation is driven by natural yeast. Aged in oak barrels. This golden color wine with aromas of spices, quince and ripe fruits is full-body, with soft tannins and a long harmonious ending.
