The premier cru La Fussière is located in the town of Dezize-Les-Maranges, the Pinot Noir vines are expressed on stony white soils resting on blue marls. Bruno Colin's vines were planted in 1986 and are cultivated using sustainable cultivation with soil work and plowing.
Binyamina Reserve Merlot is crafted from premium Merlot grapes, originally from Bordeaux. The grapes come from two nearby regions. One is the Upper Galilee, mainly Kerem Ben Zimra, with basaltic and terra rossa soil over hard limestone, providing excellent root aeration.
The 2019 Gandona is simply magnificent. A wine of soaring intensity and structure the 2019 marries power richness and depth. Inky dark fruit chocolate black cherry leather and torrefaction all race across the palate. There is plenty of the opulence readers have come to expect here but with an extra kick of vibrancy that adds a feeling of energy the earlier vintages did not have. The Primitivo di Manduria Sessantanni Old Vines di San Marzano is born in vineyards located in the municipalities of San Marzano and Sava. It is produced exclusively with Primitivo grapes, harvested by hand towards the second half of September.
Very delicate destemming and crushing to preserve the integrity of the dried grapes followed by a long maceration in contact with skins at 23-24°C for 25 days. Ageing in barrels of 25 HL (70%) and in barriques (30%) for 3 years. Dry, very warm, full bodied and intense wine.
With its intense flavors and layered complexity, combined with softness and restraint, this wine is capable of gracefully maturing in a bottle, befitting of wines produced in the Superieur Series.
