This special dessert wine is made from Gewürztraminer grapes, using ancient Madeira-style technology based on late harvest of fully ripe grapes, most of which are shriveled. The wine is aged in outdoor oak barrels for a year.
A unique blend of 3 noble white grape varietals – Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon – from Upper Galilee vineyards at 700m elevation, producing very high quality grapes. On arrival at the winery, whole clusters were gently pressed.
O'Dwyers Creek Vineyard is located in Marlborough, New Zealand who's renowned for its iconic sauvignon blanc variety. This Sauvignon Blanc has a cloudy, white color, very light with aromas that are super interesting.
Or Haganuz - a unique blend of Mount Meron terroir and selected vineyards rich with history that can be traced back for centuries. The result is high quality boutique wines with a distinctive identity. This wine was produced from northern Galilee Sauvignon Bland and Chardonnay grapes froth Avtalion and Yohanan vineyards.
Straw yellow with green reflections. Bouquet is intense and typical of the variety. There are sharp sensations of delicate white flowers, peach and hawthorn. Sweet, pleasantly cool, with a sparkling light that makes it enjoyable.
Covenant’s Israeli winery started making Viognier from the Galilee in 2017 under the BLUE C label. It inspired us to see what a California Viognier could deliver using the same production methods. Covenant RED C Viognier comes from the same vineyard in Lodi, CA, that produces our Mensch Roussanne grapes. (Both Viognier and Roussanne are best known as French Rhone varietals.)
