In 1848, with the rejuvenation of the Jewish settlement in Jerusalem, Yitzhak Galina-Shor opened the first winery in Israel, in a basement adjunct to the Western Wall in Jerusalem. During the eight generations since its foundation, 1848 Winery continued to grow and gain recognition for its quality wines, re-positioned into several locations, but maintained a tradition of wine production as a way of life.
Joseph Zakon Winery, which produces Kesser wines, was founded in 1981. The Brookyln-born winemaker, and his wife Michelle, named the winery with a Kabbalistic approach. Kesser, which means “crown” in Hebrew, is the basis for leadership in Judaism. The wines are stylistically made for Kiddush, meaning“to make Holy.” Who better to lead Kiddush than the person wearing the Crown?
This wine is unique to the winery, and is composed of 63% Merlot and 37% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It is bright Red, with flavors and aromas of strawberry, raspberry and citrus. Suitable as a dessert wine, serve very chilled.

Kindzmarauli is an excellent wine from Georgia, made from a Saperavi sort of vine, cultivated in the Kindzmarauli micro-zone of Kvareli. The wine is garmet red with a balanced mild taste and tender flavour. The wine is recommended together with fruits and cheese under a temperature 60 °F - 65 °F.
Alazani Valley is an excellent wine cultivated at Eastern Georgia. This wine is produced using selected Saperavi grapes grown in winery's own vineyards. Clean. Pale yellow with golden tones, Shiny. Clean with medium strength in the nose. Very fine and fruity. Well balanced in the mouth. Tasteful, with proper sweetness, very mild and fresh. Excellent with persistent loosenig of bubbles.
Kedem Sweet Vermouth is a classic wine style interpreted with respect by this legendary producer. Ideal if you want something rich and substantial in your Kiddush cup, this has a powerful but never overwhelming sweetness and an intriguing melange of flavors.
A distant hint of cherry appears on the nose but gains in intensity with more air. The palate is light and comes with easy, ripe cherry charm. The body is smooth, balanced and fresh.

The Psagot Blanc de Blancs was produced from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The wine went through secondary fermentation in bottle and aged on its lees for 6 years before release.
