Grand Vintage 2016 is a wine of delightfully fruity freshness. Initial notes of peach, mango, and banana flow into more mature aromas such as white pepper before evolving toward intriguing floral notes to create a champagne of refined complexity.
The 2006 Dom Pérignon comes from a very rich vintage with an early ripeness that brought a lot of aromatic maturity. The white-golden prestige cuvée contains a bit more Chardonnay than Pinot Noir and opens with a deep and seductive, pretty accessible nose with intense yet fresh fruit aromas of pineapples, with peaches and tangerines.
The opening bouquet is complex and luminous, a mingling of white flowers, citrus and stone fruit. The overall effect is enhanced by the freshness of aniseed and crushed mint. The final aromas offered by the wine are starting to show spicy, woody and roasted notes.
The non-vintage Nicolas Feuillatte Brut is a blend of 20% Chardonnay, imparting elegance and finesse, 40% Pinot Noir, for roundness and structure and 40% Pinot Meunier, for fruit character. Aged for at least 2 years, 250 different crus make up the blend.
