Overall a delicate, ethereal sipper.

A 2006 Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition single malt that was finished in an oloroso sherry cask and bottled in 2021. Aromas of buttery biscuits, orange, honey and apricot fill the nose, complemented by notes of sweet malt, caramel, figs, red apples and soft hints of peat smoke throughout the palate.
Golden brown in color. The nose has notes of fruit and floral hints, with some vanilla oak and honeycomb. The palate is complex, with layers of fruit, barley sugar and hints of oak smoke. The finish is satisfying, creamy with a hint of liquorice.
Aged in fine Spanish Oloroso wood and American oak to mature this rich, this is an intriguingly fruity and robust oak expression, but there are many more reasons why this expression is special.
