Expertly crafted as the perfect accompaniment to a fine cigar. Matured in ex-bourbon casks then 10 yr old Matusalem sherry butts and finally finished in Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques. Cinnamon, vanilla, and red fruit aromas with toffee notes. Orange zest finish.
Diageo’s nod to the rare autumn nights where the Aurora Borealis may be seen shimmering in the night sky above Oban. The tale of The Celestial Blaze explains how a vivid light grew against the ink-black sky above Oban, driven by a celestial creature. The spritely being painted the sky with violet brilliance, an ethereal light that descended upon the distillery, mirroring the vibrance and energy that the distillery gave to the quiet town of Oban when it was built in 1794.
Very sweet with a smooth, creamy texture, this is a Speyside whisky with chocolate and custard notes early on that indicate the dessert nature of this tipple, with slight zesty, tropical fruity notes showing that it also has a vibrant side. There are lemon notes throughout this dram, as well as vanilla sponge and marzipan that demonstrate the softer side of this whisky.
The Glenrothes 36 Years Old is a rare single malt Scotch whisky enriched by generations of knowledge. Yielding only 168 bottles, the whisky celebrates both heritage and progress – a hidden gem coveted by those who care to seek.
The precious 21 Years Old expression is triple cask finished in first-fill Oloroso Sherry, Tronçais oak Cognac and Vintage Colheita Port casks – bringing extra layers of depth to the iconic smooth and fruity house style of The Glenlivet.
This rare single cask Aberlour malt was distilled in 1999 and aged for 21 years, before being bottled in 2020 at 51.2%. First-fill American oak barrel #3856 was selected by La Maison du Whisky for Poland. The small and intimate Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming, who previously worked at the Dailuaine distillery. He chose the convenient location where the Lour stream flows into the River Spey.
A lovely 18 year old bottling that perfectly illustrates the qualities of Glencadam’s flowery single malt.
Despite having been around for about 200 years, Glencadam is one of those distilleries that is often overlooked. Releases like this bottling suggest this will not be the case for much longer.
Bright copper in the glass, the sweet aromas suggest maple and allspice. The light, drying palate echoes that maple hint alongside grapefruit peel tones, finishing with a flurry of baking spice and mouthwatering lemon peel. A drop of water coaxes a gentle waft of smoke. Overall a delicate, ethereal sipper.
Part of the 2022 lineup of Diageo's Special Releases, this 12-year-old Lagavulin is a deliciously peaty Islay single malt that was matured in American oak refill and virgin oak casks, then bottled at 114.6 proof. Sweet, spicy, and intensely smoky, it's the iconic Lagavulin, doing what it does best.
The second release in this innovative collection embarks on a sensorial journey through the wonderful world of coffee, drawing on the skill and expertise of five coffee experts. The Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner created two whiskies with a distinct coffee note, creating a delightful coffee and whisky pairing experience.
The Glenlivet Single Cask is an exclusive tasting experience. A unique blend bottled at its natural cask strength and without chill filtration that allows it to retain the same purity it had while maturing in the cask. Aged in American Hogshead barrels for 18 years, there are only 246 bottles of this New York limited-edition whisky. Every cask holds a flavor which can never be replicated and every bottle is individually numbered.
The revived Glendronach Revival: a whisky whose original incarnation was so popular that we drank all of it. It's back with a new recipe thanks to master blender Rachel Barrie, combining both oloroso and PX casks into a rich sherry-monster that's packed with spice and fruit. We don't think it's going to disappear of the shelves again, but when it comes to Glendronach 15 Year Old, we always recommend stocking up.
Distilled 1986 and then bottled in 2011 at cask strength by Robert Scott.
This stunning 25 year old Speyside single malt is one of the oldest vintage/aged releases for the prestigious Macallan Exceptional Single Cask range to date.
