Colombian fine artisanal rum developed under the supervision of French distillers. Distinctive and round aromas of vanilla, cinnamon, clove, and almond. Spice bouquet and fresh oak on the palate. Lightly viscous, silky, and sweet finish.
Made directly from sugar cane juice rather than the sugar cane by-product of molasses. This is similar to the alcoholic cachaça beverage of Brazil then aged 8 years in oak barrels.
Planas is the replacement for Diplomatico's Blanco Reserva. Aged for six years, the same as its predecessor, the strength has been upped to 47%. The result is a rich and chewy rum with notes of cappuccino and a nutty finish. Voted spirit of the year 2018 from Wine Enthusiast.

This tropical aging process created deeply aromatic flavours of burnt oak and toasted vanilla.
