Color: Intense wine with deeply hued purple color.Nose: Full of ripe, juicy berries and purple fruits like blackberry, plum and black cherry.Palate: Strong personality in the mouth, plump dark fruit flavors and smoky finish. This wine has been aged for 6 months in cherry wood barrels from the north of Argentina.
A very good example of a coastal sauvignon, this one comes from the San Antonio Valley, from vineyards about 15 miles from the Pacific. It has intense herbal aromas and a bit of white fruit and floral tones. It's powerful in acidity, with a creamy, agile body. A perfect companion for any fish and shellfish menu.
José Zuccardi Malbec is sourced from Paraje Altamira and contains a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon from Gualtallary. Each variety is naturally fermented in concrete vats, using wild yeasts, and is then aged in foudres and second-use barrels for 24 months.
