A 2006 Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition single malt that was finished in an oloroso sherry cask and bottled in 2021. Aromas of buttery biscuits, orange, honey and apricot fill the nose, complemented by notes of sweet malt, caramel, figs, red apples and soft hints of peat smoke throughout the palate.
Ardbeg's Wee Beastie is a youthful single malt drawn from a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, bottled up at five years of age. Peaty notes sit at the fore for this one, with oak somewhat taking a back seat, since...
Distilled in 1989, this rare single malt whisky has been carefully nurtured for three decades in our finest Sherry hogsheads and Bourbon barrels. Bottled at a cask strength of 45.3%, this 30-Year-Old is a celebration of Bowmore’s rich fruity and subtly smoky style.
Tamnavulin, from Tomnavoulin, Ballindalloch, Banffshire, is one of the many distilleries built in the boom period of the 1960s to keep up with the public interest. Sweet and zesty with lots of fruity notes – such as pineapple, grapefruit and banana – through most of the dram but the finish is more mellow and provides a calming, smooth end to the experience.
Bruichladdich 18 Year Old is created using a combination of Islay, Organic, and Scottish mainland barley. The Whisky is matured primarily in bourbon casks, with a smaller proportion of Sauternes and Port casks.
An exquisite single malt created from hand selected casks married with remnants of previous 40 year vattings. Mahogany in color with complex aromas of oak, leather, dried fruits, and toffee.
A first, and last, this is the first 1987 The Singleton of Glen Ord vintage and the only one ever to be released, from the last casks that remain. Slow crafting and patience were key to this rare bottling, taking time to distil the liquid and see each cask reach its peak. The result is an elegant liquid with a fragrant nose and creamy-smooth texture. The sweetly satisfying taste holds deep fruity flavours with hints of ginger.
A lovely 18 year old bottling that perfectly illustrates the qualities of Glencadam’s flowery single malt.Despite having been around for about 200 years, Glencadam is one of those distilleries that is often overlooked. Releases like this bottling suggest this will not be the case for much longer.
Very sweet with a smooth, creamy texture, this is a Speyside whisky with chocolate and custard notes early on that indicate the dessert nature of this tipple, with slight zesty, tropical fruity notes showing that it also has a vibrant side. There are lemon notes throughout this dram, as well as vanilla sponge and marzipan that demonstrate the softer side of this whisky.
A Fully Natural color with no caramel added, it is sparkling gold with layers of color – arising from different maturations and oils mixing together. Peat first, then ripe red fruits from the PX and Oloroso casks.
