The Dalmore Distillery has been producing exceptional single malt whisky since 1839 and, for almost a century, was owned by the Clan Mackenzie. The clan’s defining influence on the distillery is still evident to this day, with the iconic royal stag’s antlers – taken from the Mackenzie family crest – adorning each and every bottle of The Dalmore.
The Exceptional Cask series is a collection of superlative bottlings from our Single Malt distillery of Aberfeldy specially chosen by our Malt Master, Stephanie Macleod. From the producer: Spicy and savoury, Ardcore grips the senses with waves of marmite, burnt toast, chicory charcoal and infused coffee grounds making for a mosh pit in the glass. From the Isle of Skye's only distillery. In the original Ian Fleming books, Talisker was James Bond's drink of choice, and it's a suitably rugged, explosive, & powerful malt for Bond's original rough-and-tumble persona. Refined, with smoke & peat. 2020 SIP Awards Platinum.
The 2022 release of Talisker 30 Year Old has spent all of those decades maturing in American oak. In that time, all that coastal smoke has been sweetly mellowed, and the peated Scotch is joined by plenty of pepper notes, along with ripe orchard fruits, and drizzles of salted caramel. A truly terrific single malt from the Isle of Skye-based distillery.
Highland single malt from Oban distillery, which has been double matured in montilla fino sherry seasoned casks for this 2022 release of the Distillers Edition. The signature light and briny style of this whisky has been complimented here by the dry and fruity sherry.
