Produced from our own steep hillside vineyards which bring out a uniquely textured wine. Planted with the very small berry clone "Old Wente," which is known for balance and aromatic complexity. The growing conditions of 2020 produced a rich yet firm wine. The percentage of new French oak barrels is held to a maximum of 30% to keep vineyard character in the forefront.
Le Vieux Clocher Chablis 2023 is a crisp and elegant white wine hailing from the renowned Chablis region in Burgundy, France. Very pale gold in color, this classic Chardonnay is the ideal balance of Old World restraint with California sunshine. The aromas and flavors are delicate, with citrus, floral and mineral notes on a wine of fresh acidity and medium body.
A complex nose of white flowers, lemon peel, tangerine, green almond and hazelnut, nutmeg, and fresh brioche. The palate is crisp and vibrant, with aromas of fresh and dry fruits, and a precise minerality.
Pale straw in color with a nose that leaps from the glass, reminiscent of lemon curd, green apple, and hints of jasmine flower. On the palate, the wine bursts with a bright and brilliant array of citrus, from makrut lime to Meyer lemon peel, interwoven with an ever-present stony minerality. Its fresh acidity is complemented by a subtle hint of oak and marzipan from barrel age.

Its distinct minerality and playful salinity are harmonized by its unique texture and breadth, attained by the blend of French oak puncheon & concrete fermentation.
The 2021 Chardonnay showcases a combination of 4 distinct blocks from the Hudson Estate planted to Heritage Shot Wente clone. Hudson hand selected barrels from each site to create a Chardonnay that fully expresses the elegant and balanced style of Hudson Vineyards. The wine is rich with bright acidity and mouthwatering notes of citrus, stone fruit, and brioche.
Lively and lemony and racy. Remarkably reminiscent of an Hautes-Côtes Blanc. Lovely texture and great freshness. Very good!
Sitting at almost 1,400 feet above the Sonoma Valley, Charlie Smith is the “ying” to the Ritchie “yang.” Primary aromas of fresh zested lemon, jasmine, and tart pippin apple are followed by secondary aromas of chalk, spearmint, and lightly toasted macadamia.
Very floral in the nose with scents of honeysuckle and gardenia flowers, this wine is balanced and finesseful on the palate with our usual firm acidity. The finish is long, subtle, and mineral-laced.
