Campo Viejo Garnacha 2013
This bright and lively wine has vibrant red fruit flavors like strawberry, raspberry, and cherries with nuances of flavors and sweet spices. Deliciously drinkable with a soft, silky, fresh intensity, this wine will not disappoint. A very versatile wine that can be paired with vegetables, meats, pastas, or your favorite appetizers. Serve at 61–63 degrees F.
Bodegas Campo Viejo is owned by Domecq Bodegas, which is a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. The story begins in 1959 with Jose Ortiguela joining forces with Beristain at his winery, Vinos Ortiguela, to create the very first Campo Viejo wines (sold in bulk). The Campo Viejo name was based on a vineyard area in El Villar de Arnedo known as Campus Veteranus, land given to the veterans of the Roman Legion as a reward for their good service where Jose spent time as a child.
