Type Red Wine
Varietal Malbec (Cot Noir)

This wine does not hold back with copious amounts of dark fruit braced by mocha and vanilla undertones. A dark, bright ruby red color stands out and accompanies this bold, yet sophisticated wine that is extremely enjoyable now, but will reward cellaring for the next decade.

Named in homage of the low yield wines planted in 1922 and used to produce this limited edition Malbec. The family tradition of Barberis Winery began around 1895 in Piedmont, Italy. As many Europeans, their forefathers embarked for America in search of a dream. Around 1910, Domingo Bernardo Barberis, Humberto Barberis' grandfather, built a small winery where he began to make wine in the traditional way, using the methods learned in Italy. He died at the early age of 42, and the winery was sold. Only in 1965 Don Humberto Barberis managed to turn the family stories and dreams into reality, and bought his first vineyard to start producing the first grapes to be sold to other wineries.
