The 2012 Blackstone Winemaker's Select California Pinot Noir has deep rich color, evidence of the ripe year. Aromas and flavors of violets, rose petals, and dried cherries are accented by nice, smoky vanilla, brown sugar, and allspice from the oak aging. In the mouth, this plush wine has a silky entry with smooth tannins and a round, full mouth with a long, lingering finish.
