Barrica 29 Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
Intense, clean ruby-red color, with vibrant red berry aromas, especially redcurrant, raspberry, and some violet scents. Spices such as pepper and clove are present as well. On the mouth a fruity burst meets your palate, with a good acidic, tannic balance. Acidic fruits like raspberry, currants, and mulberry, as well as delicate and slightly acidic tannins, are present.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Produced and bottled by Domaine Le Billoud. Fermentation using selected yeasts, in concrete vats at temperatures of 64–77 degrees F. Three homogenization daily stirs, the skins in touch with oak are macerated thus achieving a maximum of color and fruity aromas. Aged for eight months in a combination of French and American oak barrel, achieving the typical coffee-vanilla and smoky aromas prior to bottling for another six months to round up its fine bouquet.
