Ame du Vin Rose 2018
Blend | France
Dry, crisp, polished and pure, this has fresh apricot, citrus, jasmine and berry notes with an easy-going finish. Serve as an aperitif, with seafood, olives, herb-accented dishes, French cheeses and more.
Ame du Vin (Ahm-du-VAHN), meaning “Soul of the Wine,” references the poem of the same name by 19th century French poet Charles de Baudelaire. A 70/30 Garnache/Cinsault blend, it is grown and produced at the Caves du Commandeur estate near the Provençale village of Montfort-sur-Argens. The property spans almost 1,000 acres of vineyards, located approximately 1,300 above sea level, and planted to a density of 5,000-6,000 vines per acre.
