Distilled and bottled in Scotland by Aberlour Distillery, established in 1879, this 14-year-old Speyside single malt is matured in a combination of American oak and sherry oak casks. Rich amber in the glass, it offers aromas of baked apple, toffee, and orange peel, with notes of vanilla and warm spice.
The palate is smooth and full-flavored, with sweet blackberry fruit, dried fruit, gentle oak spice, and a lingering, mellow finish. At 40% ABV, it is lovely sipped neat or with a drop of water, and its depth also works well in a classic Old Fashioned or Rob Roy. Presented in a elegant tube, it makes a refined gift for Scotch lovers and a welcome addition to any whisky collection.
